Located at 12.97° N 75.78° E in the Western Ghats at 3000-3500 feet above sea level, resides one of the most picturesque hills of South India.

To get there… Some 220km from Bangalore, 180km from Mangalore, 120km from Mysore and 40km from the district head quarters, Hassan Airports… Hassan (under construction), Mangalore and Bangalore Road & Train… it’s a beautiful journey with plantations, paddy fields, jungles and deep ravines alongside… Air-conditioned buses ply at regular intervals… A ride on the Mangalore-Sakleshpur train is a trip through the marvels of nature and engineering with breath-taking views of verdant valleys with numerous endless tunnels, cascading waterfalls and hills nestling amid the Western Ghats.
